JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary function of the Human Resources Social Media Strategist is to conduct social media platforms audits, brainstorm, create and post ads, and analyze recruitment strategies. The position is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting.

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:

The length of the internship is 6-9 months with the possibility of an extension based on performance, job requirements, and availability of the selected candidate.

  • Create, post, and maintain effective recruitment campaigns via social media (Facebook, Linkedin, etc.) and Handshake

  • Track, analyze, and report the results of recruitment campaigns using Google Drive and other tools

  • Analyze and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities

  • Assist in University Career Fairs to promote recruitments

  • Facilitate the orientation of new employees

  • Contribute as a strategic thinker in building a strong HR foundation for a growing start-up company

  • Assist the HR team with other tasks assigned

DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Working knowledge of ​​Human Resources Management and Social Media Engagement, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Handshake

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, written and verbal communication

  • Genuine enthusiasm for an interest in working with people

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and the ability to work independently

  • Able to work 20 hours per week

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources, or management/administrative fields

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience with start-ups is a plus
