JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an unpaid internship. The Accountant Intern position will receive training and guidance as you learn about the technology services industry. It's a great opportunity for college students who want to develop leadership, sales, project management, and communication skills in a fast-paced and highly supportive environment. The length of the internship is 6 to 9 months with the possibility of a full-time position based on performance, job requirements, and availability of the selected candidate. As an Accountant Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills in accounting and finance. You will work closely with our team of experienced professionals to support various accounting activities and contribute to the overall success of the finance department.

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Assist in driving accounts to a close.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

  • Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor management, and customer invoicing.

  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Conduct research and analysis on accounting issues, regulations, and best practices to support decision-making and ensure compliance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices.

  • Provide ad-hoc support and assistance to the finance team as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications (or Mac platform Numbers, Keynote and Papers).

  • Genuine enthusiasm for an interest in working with people.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Excellent research, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment under strict time constraints.

  • Reliable and detail oriented.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Have a degree or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous internship experience in accounting or finance is a plus, but not required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s
