JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an unpaid internship. The Financial Analyst position will receive training and guidance as you learn about the technology services industry. It's a great opportunity for college students who want to develop leadership, sales, project management, and communication skills in a fast-paced and highly supportive environment. The length of the internship is 6 to 9 months with the possibility of a full-time position based on performance, job requirements, and availability of the selected candidate. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and support to assist in decision-making processes across various departments. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to optimize financial performance and drive business growth.

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:
  • Perform financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Assist in driving accounts to a close.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis and reporting.

  • Analyze financial statements, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.

  • Prepare comprehensive financial models to evaluate potential investments, projects, or business initiatives.

  • Support the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for senior management, board meetings, and stakeholders.

  • Response to inquiries, documentation and communication assistance within the sales team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications (or Mac platform Numbers, Keynote and Papers).

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment under strict time constraints.

  • Reliable and detail oriented.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis techniques.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Have a degree or a current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program in business administration or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience with start-ups is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
