JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead the software quality strategy, automated testing frameworks, and continuous delivery verification across our enterprise platforms. In this role, you will establish quality assurance standards, manage release verification cycles, and build robust automated test suites to ensure high availability, security, and performance across SaaS applications and internal systems. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and IT operations to resolve defect bottlenecks, enforce compliance, and streamline deployment workflows as we scale. This is an equity-only role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments.

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and govern robust QA and testing processes—including functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
  • Establish clear quality metrics, SLA targets, defect severity classifications, and release criteria across internal platforms and external applications.
  • Lead test automation strategies, integrating continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to catch regression and security flaws early.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, IT support, and product teams to identify root causes of recurring software incidents and establish preventative controls.
  • Conduct training sessions and create centralized knowledge base documentation and test suites to standardize quality practices across departments.
  • Oversee pre-release security, access control, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for major system implementations and enterprise system updates.
  • Other duties as assigned, etc.

 

DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading QA operations and software testing in a fast-paced environment (startup or high-growth company experience preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with modern automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman) and CI/CD platforms.
  • Strong understanding of API integrations, cloud-based applications (SaaS/IaaS), and role-based security access protocols.
  • Practical understanding of Agile/Scrum software development lifecycles and ITIL defect management methodologies.
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills, with a proven track record of collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to maintain high software reliability standards.

Compensation

This is an equity-only, fractional opportunity. There is no salary or hourly compensation at this time.
