With input from Starcom Media Vest Group, Acxiom, Facebook, Google, Apple and several tech firms that provide location data services, the industry's Media Rating Council has finalized guidelines for an array of location data gathering methods in an effort to provide benchmarks for gauging accuracy and precision.

JP Morgan Chase may have unveiled a fault among the programmatic starts. Chase cut back the number of websites serving its ads programmatically from 400,000 to 5,000 and saw "little change in the cost of impressions or the visibility" of those ads. Hmmmmmm.
Amazon confirms acquisition of Souq, marking its move into the Middle East (Tech Crunch)
Amazon had a good week, a very good week, as it announced Wednesday it would be acquiring Souq, a Dubai-based e-commerce marketplace. With the aquisition Amazon will be venturing into a relatively untapped market of more than 50 million consumers.
