With flu season right around the corner, pharmacies are spending resources and dollars activating marketing strategies to drive vaccination visits.
Using micro-fencing, pharmacies and drug stores (e.g., CVS, Target, and Walgreens) can deliver content and offers to potential visitors based on where they are, who they are, what they do — all with the goal of driving shoppers into the store for a flu shot and then purchasing other needed items along their shopping journey.
For example, imagine delivering a notification that says “Sam: The last time you had a flu shot was 2 years ago! Come into Chicago & Orleans and get one now!" Or "Get a flu shot at our State & Randolph store now and get 10% off the rest of your purchases" .
The message is powerful; the message has meaning; and the message engages.
